Looks good but will await for reviews on sound. It was issued only in the US. 9 Data Correct Then, newly signed to English Decca, they delivered Animalisms, a truly transcendent collection of a dozen songs, mostly superb covers interspersed with some good originals, principally by Eric Burdon and Dave Rowberry.
Regret this purchase, bought in hopes sound would be better on 1st 12 tracks, nope. Echo, fake stereo; a royal mess. I have the LP by Secret Records but although it says it is remastered, the recording quality is so poor that I find the record unplayable Animalisms The original 12 tracks from Decca LP sound like hell. The Repertoire CD was a mess, the Decca Anthology fair, hope someone reviews this before buying a potential mess again. Ironically, the Animalisms album (which was issued in America two months later in somewhat altered form, as Animalization) appeared just as the group was about to enter its final phase of existence -- they'd switched drummers from John Steel to Barry Jenkins during the period in which these tracks were recorded, and Burdon would soon decide to dissolve the lineup. £14.23. It was the first Animals album to be produced by Tom Wilson as well as the first to feature keyboardist Dave Rowberry after the May 1965 departure of original keyboardist Alan Price. Next.
