The quality is poor for the wooden parts (settlements, roads, cities); they are chipped, have chunks missing and the paint on them looks "rushed". It's pretty hard to play the game without the roads and I have no idea how I can return a game I have completely opened and unpacked. Also, the resource/development cards typically come with a box, this set did not. However, there is a variant written by the game’s creator for a two player game which allows for quite an enjoyable game.

the printed image was peeling away as i was opening and assembling everything, it bends easily and doesn't fit together as-well as my older copy or other copies of the game I've played did.
